Welcome to the PAWS – Pets Are Worth Saving – page of the Humane Society of Broward County’s web site. It is with honor and a great deal of excitement that I begin my first term as President of PAWS.

 

My family and I have always been “pet people” so naturally the shelter holds a special place in our hearts. I have been a member of PAWS for 11 years and a member of the Humane Society’s Board of Directors since October 2001.

 

The PAWS fundraising auxiliary has continually grown since its inception in 1997 and has been a very important component to the overall success of the shelter and the many programs offered to the community.

 

I look forward to carrying on this successful tradition and working with the many volunteers who make it happen.

 

PAWS has hosted several fun and exciting events in the previous years and this coming year will be no exception. In addition to some of our popular events such as PAWS on the Green Women’s Invitational Golf Tournament and Harley Dog Days, PAWS will be introducing PAWPARAZZI 2008, a brand new affair! As President I look forward to these events in the coming year and perhaps some additional fundraising events as well.

 

I hope you will check back in on our site and more importantly will attend our events in support of those who cannot speak for themselves – the animals.
